A Family Business Spanning Three Generations
My name is Laura Herndon, and I am a professional wedding painter as well as the proud owner of IMPRESSIONIST Texas Wedding Painting. I have been working as a wedding painter since 2018, though my passion for art and being an artist has been a part of me since childhood. I am the artist behind the easel, capturing countless Texas weddings with a paintbrush in hand. I am based just outside San Antonio and take great pleasure in providing live wedding painting services across Texas and beyond. I truly enjoy using my talents and creativity to celebrate and honor couples by making their special day unforgettable.

Maura Ehresman
Maura Ehresman is a Dallas-based artist for Impressionist Texas Wedding Painting. When her mom Laura, founder of Impressionist, started painting at events, Maura would occasionally assist her by talking with guests and refreshing her supplies. Before long, Maura came to love the thrill of the wedding business. She loved the speeches, music, flowers, and most of all, being a part of making each event the best day in the couple’s lives.
Maura began to apprentice under Laura to learn the craft of Live Wedding Painting and painted for her first couple in 2021. She had always enjoyed experimenting with art of all kinds, and she enjoyed getting to use her creative side to bring people joy.
Since then, Maura has launched as a full-time Live Wedding Painter, painting for many couples all around Texas. Her work is rooted in genuine connection. She adores her couples and works to get to know their love story and wedding dreams so that she can craft the perfect heirloom to celebrate their marriage. Maura’s style is colorful and romantic, inspired by the sights, sounds, and emotions of the wedding day.

Myra Green is the revered artistic matriarch whose foundational influence shaped the careers of her daughter, Impressionist owner Laura Herndon, and her granddaughter, artist Maura Ehresman. A versatile artist, Myra’s journey began early, creating her first portrait at the age of eleven, followed by a diverse career that included performing as a country gospel singer and teaching art, singing, and acting to students for many years.
Having mentored two generations of successful artists as live event painters, Myra now brings her substantial talents to our team, specializing in exquisite oil painting portraits. Her deep understanding of human emotion allows her to transform personal narratives into breathtaking, heirloom-quality artworks. Whether commemorating loved ones at a wedding, capturing an engagement, or creating a timeless anniversary gift, Myra’s portraits serve as deeply meaningful and enduring tributes.

Charles Ingram is a talented artist based in San Antonio, Texas, whose creative journey began in the 7th grade with a special portrait of his teacher. This early experience sparked his love for art, motivating him to explore various forms like painting, illustrating, and sculpting. Over the years, he has created thousands of artworks, including stunning paintings, vibrant murals, and intricate sculptures in both stone and metal in and around the San Antonio Texas area.
Charles emphasizes the emotional connection of his subjects, especially couples, aiming to encapsulate their unique spirit during significant moments. He hopes that his paintings will evoke feelings of love and joy for generations to come, allowing viewers to experience the emotions captured within. Ultimately, Charles aims to create timeless pieces that reflect the influence of the Holy Spirit and serve as lasting treasures for those who encounter his art. His mission is to inspire and leave behind a legacy of love through his creative expressions.
